Instagram is very scary don’t you think? You search something on Google and then BAM that is advertised EVERYWHERE on your feed the very next day! I saw an Instagram blogger advertise the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser on her feed, so I decided to check out the reviews. I read that there were people who have used it for over 4 years.. and I just HAD to give this a go.
The cleanser promises to remove daily dirt, grease and makeup…even MASCARA! to reveal a smooth and radiant face.
The cleanser can be used twice a day. The package comes with the cleanser, 2 muslin cloths and a little cosmetic bag. The price of this product is very cheap!! I purchased mine from John Lewis for only £17.
So there are two steps to this process:
Step 1: You massage at least 2 pumps of the cleanser in circular motions onto dry skin and onto eyelids.
Step 2: Rinse the muslin cloth in hot water (that you can dip your hands in) squeeze and wring it out and then you polish off the cleanser. (You will see all the gunk on the cloth but it is very easy to wash off in the sink). After you have done that, you just splash your face with cool water and go onto the rest of your skincare as you would do.
I love how this does not sting the eyes at all and it actually removes mascara. Don’t you just hate when you have to spend a good five minutes removing mascara that your makeup REMOVER was supposed to do?! Say goodbye to panda eyes after cleansing – this actually leaves you squeaky clean!
I love the texture of this cleanser, its almost like creamy butter, it felt great on the skin. If you have sensitive skin, I would think this is perfect for you. I will be honest, I am a big fan of cleanser sfoaming up and bubbling, which is what you do not get with this. But don’t be disheartened you still feel super clean after using this.
I love the use of the muslin cloth, I like how you use it with hot water to help open the pores and you use a buffing motion to allow it to cleanse the pores deeply and remove all the impurities. When I used this cleanser, I did not break out at all, my skin really did love it.
I have completely emptied the bottle and I am really gutted. I will definitely purchase again (maybe two, so I can leave one in my gym bag! It would be perfect to get out all the grimey dirty I sweat out when I have had a workout.)
